James “Red” Eveland was born in Lawrenceville, Illinois, on April 10, 1961, to the late Everett Eugene Eveland & Sandra Sue Eveland. He departed this life on April 16, 2023, at his home in Bruceville, Indiana. He attended Palestine High School and later joined the Navy until he was honorably discharged after an automobile accident shortly after boot camp. He then became a Welder. He also enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, and watching Kevin Harvick race on Raceday! He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Red was a very simple man with a larger-than-life heart and would do just about anything for anyone.
Red was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Sue Eveland, Brother Larry Eveland, and cousins Dave Miller and Steve Miller.
He leaves behind a daughter, Danielle Steimel, and her partner Dustin Beck, and their daughters: Adalee, Kiera, Alyssa, and Emmaline.
