James Larry Hyre

James Larry Hyre, 70, of rural Palestine, IL died at 1:35 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2010 at his residence. He was born November 28, 1939 in Whiting, IN, the son of Hubert Hyre and Gertrude Cochran Hyre. Larry had retired in 2008 from Victor-Dana Co., in Robinson after 40 years of service. He was a member of Heartland Baptist Church in Hutsonville, IL.He is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Donnie and Debbie Hyre, Robinson, Nathan Hyre, Robinson; 5 daughters and sons-in-law, Lora Hyre, Palestine, Connie and Mick Ramsey, Palestine, Donna Sue and Greg Gowen, Palestine, Dessie and Scott Carr, Palestine, Kathy Jo Hyre, Robinson; 13 grandchildren; his two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Mary Hyre, Palestine, Tony and Pat Hyre, Tolono, IL, and his sister Vivian Friedrich, Palestine. He was preceded in death by his parents.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 20th at the Heartland Baptist Church in Hutsonville with Brother Steve Griswold and Brother Clinton Batchelor officiating. Burial is in the Oak Grove Cemetery, rural Palestine. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 19th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Heartland Church in Hutsonville, and from 9:00 a.m. to service time on Thursday prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice with envelopes at the church or to the American Cancer Society.
