James Donald Hyre, 49, of rural Robinson, IL died at 2:46 a.m. on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at the Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. He was born October 11, 1961 in Vincennes, IN, the son of James Larry Hyre and LaDonna Barrick Hyre. He worked as a mechanic for Biernbaum€™s for over 10 years and as a shop foreman at Senco for over 20 years. He loved to ride his motorcycle, camp, and entertain his family.He married Debbie Gullett on June 10, 1983 and she survives. He is also survived by his son, Dustin Hyre and his fiance, Kaylee Spencer (Robinson, IL); his mother and step-father, Donna & Bob Tidwell (Palestine, IL); five sisters and brothers-in-law, Lora Hyre (Palestine), Connie & Mickey Ramsey (Palestine), Donna Hyre (Palestine), Dessie & Scott Carr (Palestine), Cathy & Theron Carpenter, Robinson; his brother, Nathan Hyre (Palestine); two grandsons, Dylyn and Kahne; one granddaughter, Tinnley, who was born on Don€™s birthday a year ago; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 28th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine, with Nolan Carter to officiate the service. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, rural Palestine. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Relay for Life, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
