James David Littlejohn

James David Littlejohn, 70, of Hutsonville, IL, died at 8:15 p.m. Thursday, November 4, 2010. He was born April 7, 1940 in Noble, the son of Theodore and Cora Melton Littlejohn. James was a former Marine, a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving from 1958 to 1964. He was a member of the Robinson V.F.W. Post #4549 and the Marine Corps League. He worked for the Briggs and Case Pottery Plant for 36 years, where he was a kiln foreman.James married Nancy Irene Jayne on September 29, 1968 and she preceded him in death on October 1, 1996. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Cora Berry; and one grandson.He is survived by his 2 sons, Michael Wayne & Shannon Travels, Martinsville, IL and Stanley Eugene & Becky Littlejohn, Hutsonville; his daughter, Anita Mayree Keller, Annapolis; 13 grandchildren; his two brothers and a sister-in-law, Bob & Janet Littlejohn, Annapolis, Tom Littlejohn, St. Francisville; his three sisters and a brother-in-law, Bonnie & Jim Burtron, Robinson, Vivian Draper, Robinson, Margaret Littlejohn, Robinson; as well as several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 9th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson with Rev. Bob Fear officiating. Burial will be in the Hardinville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 8, 2010 at the funeral home.Memorials may be made to the V.F.W. Transportation Fund.
