Jacqueline "Jackie" Goff, 63, of Robinson, IL, died December 30, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. She was born on August 31, 1957, in Oblong, IL, the daughter of Jack & Esther (Newlin) Kemper, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Norman Goff, Sr.; by her twin brother and sister, Martha Kemper and Ova Kemper; by her sister, Gloria "Jean" France; and by her grandsons, Luca Turner and Emerson Turner. She married Junior Goff on July 15, 1977, and he survives. She is also survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Jennifer & Devin “Opie” Turner (Robinson, IL); by her son & daughter-in-law, Jack D., Sr. & Kayla Goff (Robinson, IL); by her grandchildren, Bailey Mitchell, Mitch Mitchell, Jack D. Goff, Jr., Vinson Goff, and Blaize Dedrick; by her sister & brother-in-law, Debbie & John Russell (Oblong, IL); by her mother-in-law, Mandy Goff; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Though Jackie grew up all over, she and her family eventually found themselves back home in the Hardinville area. Upon graduating from Oblong High School in 1976, she found work with a number of local businesses, including L.S. Heath & Sons and Flo’s Restaurant before getting on with the Robinson Elks, where she worked her way up to manager over her 20 years there. Recent years found her in the Hutsonville School Cafeteria as an OPAA! cook, a job that highlighted her talents in the kitchen. Anyone who knew her could attest to her wonderful cooking, and for years, she used her skills as a means to gather her loved ones together. Sunday dinners in particular were a staple of her family's week and provided countless hours of memories for all involved. In fact, Jackie made many treasured memories throughout her life. This fun-loving, care-free soul knew the warmth of tropical beaches, the cool air of a boat gliding along a lake, and the coziness of a campground surrounded by friends and family. They could never forget the joy with which this dear woman lived her life, nor the selfless love she so generously poured out to anyone blessed enough to know her. We who are left behind to mourn her passing are comforted knowing that Jackie Goff filled every bit of her 63 years with real living. Due to the newly-increased public safety measures being enforced by the State of Illinois, funeral services will be private. However, a live stream of her service will be available to the public starting at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021.
