Jack R. Clements

June 10, 1942 — November 30, 2023

Jack R. Clements, 81, formerly of Indianapolis, IN, died at the home of his son in Robinson, IL, on November 30, 2023. He was born on June 10, 1942, in Indianapolis and was raised in Robinson by his loving parents, Shorty and Bette (Reinoehl) Clements, who both preceded him in death.

Jack graduated from Robinson High School in 1960. His early work career included stints as a meat carver, a car salesman, and a bartender. He later found his calling, working in various capacities for Service Engineering in Indianapolis, retiring in 2013 after 30 years of service. He served as a member of the Air National Guard out of Terre Haute, IN, in the late 60s and early 70s and was a life member of the American Legion Post 495 in Indianapolis. Jack was a proud "friend of Bill" for 24 years and volunteered his time in hospitals in Indianapolis, encouraging others who were struggling.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Stacie and Andy Fisher of rural Flat Rock; his son and daughter-in-law, Pat and Carey Clements of Robinson; his grandchildren, Conner (Sahara) Allen, Zachery (Ella) Clements, Alysha Clements, Shelby Waggoner (Andrew Redmon) and Caleb Fisher; as well as two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Leslie and Mike Swaner of Robinson, as well as a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Jack donated his body to medical research, and according to his wishes, there will be no funeral service. Memorial donations in his honor can be made to "Club East" (441 S. Ritter Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46219) or to "First Step Recovery" (208 S. Franklin St., Robinson, IL 62454).
