Jack "Bill" Osborn

Jack W. €œBill€ Osborn, 77, of rural Robinson, died Friday, June 10, 2011 at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House, Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was born March 1, 1934 in Morley, MO, the son of John D. and Vivian M. Burroughs Osborn. After attending a year at SIU studying mechanics, Bill owned and operated O&S Salvage in Porterville, IL for over 40 years. He spent the last 15 summers working for the Corps of Engineers as a campground attendant in Theodosia, Mo and the winters in Robinson.On August 27, 1976, he married Nancy Watts, and she survives. Jack is also survived by 4 sons - Mark (Brenda) Osborn of Robinson, IL, Andy (Dee) Osborn of Robinson, IL, Chuck (Pam) Osborn of Robinson, IL, B. J. Osborn of Robinson, IL; 2 daughters - Margaret (John) Inboden of Robinson, IL, Marce (Shawn) Conner of Kent, WA; 14 grandchildren - Barbie, Luke (Sarah) Inboden, Jason, Eric, Cassie, Grace, Adam, Joshua, Barb, Walt and Emily Osborn and Ariel Conner, Bill (Stacey) and Cassandra Miller; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers - Jim (Thelma) Osborn of LaPort, IN, Estel (Anna) Osborn of Michigan City, IN; 2 sisters - Cecily (Harold) Shipman of Robinson, IL, and Dorothy Garrard of Harrisburg, IL; 5 brothers-in-law - Jerry (Debbie) Loftis of Robinson, IL, Gary (Kaye) Loftis of Robinson, IL, Tim (Cindy) Loftis of Robinson, IL, Wm E. (Liz) Spade and Rollie M. Spade; 2 sisters-in-law, Julia (Leroy) Shipman and Kathy (Bill) Strine; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife - Barbara Spade; one brother - David Osborn; his mother and father-in-law - Margaret & Claude Loftis; and a brother-in-law - Terry Loftis. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 14 at 11:00 a.m. the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson, with Jerry McDaniel officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Annapolis. There will be a visitation from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer€™s Association, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
