Hilda Kathleen Randles

Hilda Kathleen Randles, 91 of Robinson, IL, died at 6:37 a.m. Monday, November 4, 2013 at the Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson. She was born on May 3, 1922 in Hardinville, IL, the daughter of William Allen Sexton and Lefvonia G. (Weaver) Sexton. Hilda worked at the Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson for 18 years. She was a life member of the V. F. W. #2244 Auxiliary in Lawrenceville, was a member of the Robinson American Legion Post # 69 since 1969 and she attended the Otterbein United Methodist Church.She married John Battershell on November 29, 1939 and he preceded her in death on August of 1972. Hilda then married Charles R. Randles, Jr on February 10, 1973 and he survives. She is also survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John, Jr. and Helen Ann Battershell, Jr. of Danville, IN; her daughter, Judith Battershell Plummer, Dryer, IN; her granddaughter, Kelly Battershell Hartle, Brownsburg, IN; her 2 grandsons, Scott Plummer, New Berlin, IL and Jeff Plummer, Hobart, IN; 3 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Loretta Sexton, Robinson; her sister, Martha Obst, Robinson; and her sister-in-law, Marlene Sexton, Griffith, IN.She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Mary Pauline; 2 brothers, Wayne and Warren Sexton; her sister-in-law, Marie Sexton; and her brother-in-law, Tom Obst.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 7th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson, IL. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6th at the funeral home.
