Harry R. Debelle, 79, of Robinson, IL, died February 4, 2020, at Ridgeview Care Center in Oblong, IL surrounded by his family. He was born February 25, 1940, the son of Maxine (Reinoehl) Debelle, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his son & daughter-in-law, Scott & Babbi Debelle; by his grandchildren, Jason & spouse, Kara Debelle, Tucker Debelle and Danielle Debelle; by his 4 step-grandchildren; by his great- granddaughters, Khloe Debelle and Kynzli Debelle; by his great-grandson, Gage Debelle; as well as 8 step-grandchildren. Harry was born and raised in Flat Rock and was a 1958 graduate of Robinson High School. He would go on to work for CIPS, with whom he faithfully worked for 30 years as an operator at the Hutsonville Power Station. He was, by all accounts, a “car guy” and was enamored with anything with wheels and a whole lotta horsepower! Over the years, Harry was the proud owner of many fine machines, and these provided him with countless hours of enjoyment over the course of his life. He made a number of bike trips over the years, which found him all over the continental United States. Locally, he was a staple at car shows, and loved talking shop with other motor heads. He will be remembered as a responsible man who was honest, almost to a fault! He ran a tight ship, for sure, but his family are all the better because of the way he led his life. That being said, Harry wasn't a perfect man, which is why he put his trust in the Lord in the twilight of his life. Because of this, we have assurance that his 79 years was just the first leg of the road trip into eternity. A time of visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Flat Rock. Funeral services will immediately follow and will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Celebrant Curt Goodwine officiating. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to "Ridgeview Care Center" with funds to be used towards Ridgeview's Activity Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
