Harold "Red" Wesner

Harold Wesner, 83, of Robinson, IL, died at 2:33 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Crawford Memorial Hospital. He was born July 20, 1926 in rural Palestine, IL, the son of Harry Henry Wesner and Laura Jane Magill Wesner. He served in the U. S. Army in Japan. He was storekeeper for C. I. P. S. for 32 years. He was a member of the Robinson Elks Lodge #1188 and the Highland Church of Christ.He married Dorothy Thomas on March 18, 1960 and she preceded him in death on December 19, 2008. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Lucille Scheessele; and 5 half brothers and sisters; Glen, Mabel, Myrtle, Melva, and Earl Wesner.Red is survived by his sister, Marjorie Cox, Brookport, IL; and his brother, Ralph Wesner, Greenfield, IN; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 8, with Pastor Glen Rosborough officiating at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Wednesday, October 7th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Highland Church of Christ.
