Guy Dale Knight

On Thursday, July 22, 2021, Guy Dale Knight, loving husband and father of three children, passed away at the age of 89. Dale was born May 6, 1932, in Palestine, IL, the son of Guy and Elizabeth Knight. After high school, he played basketball for Butler University in Indianapolis, IN, where he graduated in 1954. That same year, he married Nancy Bundy of Indianapolis, and they would go on to have three beloved boys. Following his time at Butler, Dale entered the U.S. Air Force and graduated flight school, becoming a pilot. He flew C-130s in the Vietnam War, receiving the Distinguished Flying Cross in the process. He would go on to proudly serve his country for 28 years before retiring as a lieutenant colonel. After retiring from the USAF, Dale and Nancy settled in Lakewood, WA, where they resided until his death. In addition to his beloved wife, Nancy, Dale is also survived by his three sons, Gary Knight of Raleigh, NC, Mark Knight of Tacoma, WA, and Brian Knight of Phoenix, AZ. There are no plans for a funeral.
