Gloria Reynolds

Gloria Reynolds, 86, of Robinson, IL, died at 10:40 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. She was born May 14, 1933, in Robinson, IL, the daughter of Lloyd Francis and Faye (McCarter) Phillippe, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Delain Reynolds on June 20, 1953, and he preceded her in death on October 8, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her son, Keith Delain Reynolds on February 1, 2018; by her brothers & sister-in-law, Nolan Phillippe and Gene & Pat Phillippe; and by her sister & brother-in-law, Carol Eileen & Richard Mann. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Donna & Dan Phillippe (Robinson, IL); by her daughter-in-law, Polly Reynolds (Columbia, MO); by her grandchildren, Jacey & Jon Childers (Stendal, IN), Kyle & Amanda Reynolds (Columbia, MO), Dani Phillippe & fiancé Seth Smith (Robinson, IL), and Daphne Phillippe (CA); by her great-grandchildren, Delainey Childers (Stendal, IN) and Dawson Childers (Stendal, IN); as well as several nieces and nephews. Gloria grew up in Robinson and was a graduate of Robinson Township High School. Though she worked in her family's grocery store for many years, her life was dedicated to being a mom and a grandma. Nothing gave her more joy than spending time with her beloved family. One way she showed them love was through her fantastic homemade cooking, her fried chicken being the stuff of legend! Though she was known to be more than a little headstrong at times, Gloria will be remembered as a selfless soul who tirelessly put others ahead of herself. She may be gone, but never from our hearts. A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will immediately follow and will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with Celebrant Curt Goodwine officiating. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the "Magnolia Center Activity Fund", with envelopes available at the funeral home.
