Glen W. Goodwin, formerly of Bloomington, died August 10, 2011 at Heritage Manor in Bloomington, IL.Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Palestine Cemetery, Palestine, Illinois. Memorials may be directed to the family or CISAR no kill animal shelter.He was born February 9, 1925 in Palestine, Illinois the son of Ray and Mary Buser Goodwin. He was married 33 years to his former wife Janette I. Cooper Goodwin. He is survived by a son Gary (Kay) Goodwin, Bloomington, and a daughter Nancy Goodwin Graf, of Rural Ellsworth, Illinois. Also, surviving are 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.He is also survived by a sister Reva Cougill, of Charleston, Illinois, two brothers, Wendel (Ruth Evelyn) Goodwin, Palestine, Illinois, and Don (Sonja) Goodwin Palestine, Illinois; and a sister-in-law Jean Goodwin, Lufkin, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.He served in the United States Army, stationed in Japan. He was a graduate of University of Illinois and a member of Sigma Lota Epsilon. He worked for Illinois Agriculture Association (IAA) in Bloomington, Illinois and later became a Realtor (Goodwin Realty) and was a member of Illinois Board of Realtors. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomington, Illinois. He enjoyed Golf, Dancing, Tennis, Chicago Bears, and Chicago Cubs.His family would like to like to extend a Special Thank You to the staff at Heritage Manor in Bloomington and Passages Hospice for the care he received during his stay.
