Glen A. White, 80, of Robinson, died on September 12, 2010 at the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville. He was born on February 14, 1930 in Robinson, the son of Nolan White and Cordelia Mardis White. Glen worked in maintenance at the Marathon Oil Refinery for over 30 years. He was a member of the Highland Church of Christ and also past member of the Robinson American Legion Post 69, as he was a veteran, having served his country for nine years in the Navy. He enjoyed time spent with his family, particularly his grandkids. Among other things, Glen also enjoyed reading Western novels, watching old movies, and listening to Big Band music.He married Faith Rich on December 11, 1964 and she survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Febby Barrett of Robinson and Lisa Lawrence of Spencer, IN; four sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Marcia White of West Virginia, Rob and Teri White of Rochester, IN, Brad and Marie White of Robinson, and Robert and Shelly Stephenson of Robinson; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers, Bruce White and Richard White.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson with Joe LaRue and Gene Beard to officiate the service. Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 15.Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer€™s Association, to the Epilepsy Foundation, or to the American Heart Association. Envelopes for memorials will be available at the funeral home.
