Gina Louise (Bailey) Colliflower

September 20, 1955 — March 25, 2022

Gina Louise (Bailey) Colliflower was born in Lawrenceville, IL, on September 20, 1955, the daughter of Don Arthur & Galora Jean (Rush) Bailey, who preceded her in death. She passed away at her home in Hutsonville, IL, on March 25, 2022, at the age of 66. She married Lawrence G. Colliflower on September 25, 1986. Lawrence passed away on April 17, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her older brothers, Michael Douglas Bailey and Mark David Bailey, as well as a nephew, Dusty Bailey.

She is survived by her brother, Donnie & wife Joanie Bailey; by two sisters-in-law, Diane Bailey and Nancy Bailey; by her nieces & nephew, Michelle & husband George Hays, Heather & wife Karin Bailey, Laina & wife Kendra Bailey, Curtis & wife Tyler Bailey, April & husband Bill Rutan, and Brandi Bailey; by several great-nieces and nephews; as well as her aunt & uncle, Judy & John Crane.

Gina grew up in Robinson, IL, where she enjoyed playing and watching softball. She graduated from Robinson High School in 1973. Though she worked at Victor Dana for a few years, Gina began working at Marathon in July of 1975. Over her near-35 year career there, she worked as an Operations Operator, Chief Operator, Sub-Foreman and Shift-Foreman, and Complex Foreman before retiring on January 1, 2010, as the Area 3 Operations Supervisor.

Over the years, Gina enjoyed adventures and traveling. She also cherished time spent with her nieces & nephews and great-nieces & nephews and was known to take them on trips to various theme parks.

She was, by all accounts, an avid hunter and loved the foxhounds that she and Larry would show. Larry started the Goodman Breed many years ago, and Gina helped him continue the breed and club. Over time, they won many trophies from hunts and shows with the dogs, and she knew every dog by name and their date of birth. They were her four-legged children.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29th, at Oak Grove Cemetery, rural Palestine, IL, with Pastor Billie Ray Ulrey officiating. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements.

As an expression of sympathy, her family requests that memorial contributions be sent to:
"Good Samaritan Hospice"
520 S. Seventh St. Vincennes, IN 47591
Envelopes will also be available at the cemetery.
