Georgia L. Atteberry

Georgia Leigh Atteberry, 65, of Flat Rock, IL died at 1:58 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2014 at the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville, IL. She was born November 15, 1948 in Robinson, the daughter of Walter & Norma Evans. Georgia graduated from beauty college in 1966, and spent most of her life as a homemaker. She was an active member of the Robinwood Assembly of God church in Robinson. On December 29, 1967, she married Nolan Atteberry, and he survives. Georgia is also survived by her children, John & Sara Atteberry (Robinson, IL), Richard Atteberry & fiance Melinda Meek (Flat Rock, IL), Kayla & Jeremy Peters (Terre Haute, IN); her grandchildren, Alexah Atteberry, Sage Atteberry, Brenden Atteberry, Canon Atteberry, and Aaron Peters; her sister, Elaine Simpson (VA); her brother, Barry Evans (Robinson, IL); as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26th at the Robinwood Assembly of God with Pastor Jim Parks to officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Jones Cemetery, rural Flat Rock. A time of visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Memorials may be made to the Robinwood Youth Group, with envelopes available at the church. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of the arrangements.
