Gary L. Whitlow

Gary L. Whitlow, 65, of Robinson died on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 in Lima, OH. He was born December 21, 1945 in Fairfield, IL, the son of Chester Whitlow and Maedell Johnson-Whitlow. He worked maintenance for Briggs Pottery for 33 years until it€™s closing and was a millwright for Joule€™ Industrial Contractors. Gary served his country through the Air Force during Vietnam, serving in the Philippines as a jet mechanic. He was a member of the Robinson Masonic Lodge #250 and of the Danville Masonic Rite. He was also a former member of the Robinson Church of the Nazarene.He married Carolyn Fitts on June 22, 1968 and she survives. He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Penny & Doug Weck, Annapolis; his son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey & Pamela Whitlow, Princeton, IN; three granddaughters, Amanda Weck, Annapolis, Jessica Pinnell, Princeton, IN, and Janna Busch-Keyes, Princeton, IN; Joshua Popplewell, Princeton, IN; seven great-grandchildren; his sister and brother-in-law, Janice & Rodney Roycroft, West Blockton, AL; as well as several nieces and nephews and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.He was preceded in death by his parents; his infant brother, Joe Whitlow; and his great-grandson, Bryson Popplewell.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Burial will be at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Riley€™s Children€™s Hospital, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
