Gary Corder, 68, of Robinson, IL, passed away on September 15, 2022, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. Gary was born on May 3, 1954, in Robinson, IL, the son of James & Opal (Goff) Corder


He married Debbie Keith on September 21, 1973, and she survives. He is also survived by his mother, Opal Corder; by his daughters, Leslie Bricker & fiancé, Mac Holt, and Lindsey & Wade Callaway; by his grandchildren, Haley Bricker & Caleb Ferguson, Brynn Griffin, Zya Bricker, Abigail Callaway, and Bella Callaway; by his brother, Larry Corder; by his sisters & brothers-in-law, Cheryl & Gene Fox Jr., Carol & Jerry McConnell, Mary & Gary Gaddis, and Karen McCray & Bobby Batchelor; by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Vickie & Rusty Swartz, Linda Myers, Tommy Keith and Cindy Hargis; by his best four-legged friend, Ruger; as well as several nieces and nephews.


He is preceded in death by his father, James Corder; by his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Tom & Jean Keith.


Gary grew up in Robinson, IL, and was a 1972 graduate of Robinson High School. He would take a long pause from school, but in 2002 he earned his degree at Lincoln Trail in Heating and Air Conditioning. He retired from Hershey in 2021.


Gary could often be found outdoors. He was an avid hunter and also enjoyed the peace and tranquility that comes with fishing. In his younger years, Gary could be found coaching his daughter's sporting events. When granddaughters came along, he took great pride in attending their sporting events. His daughters and granddaughters were the light of his eyes.


Gary was a member of the Duncanville Missionary Baptist Church.


A time of visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 19th, at Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20th, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to "Duncanville Missionary Baptist Church," with envelopes available at the funeral home.
