Freda B. Drummond, 66, of Marshall, IL, died on August 24, 2019, in her home surrounded by her family and loved ones after a long battle with cancer. Freda was born on March 4, 1953, in Paris to Charles Benjamin & Mary Susanna (Lewis) Stover, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Sue, Earl, and Junior; and the father of her three children, Robert Breneman. She is survived by her husband, Arthur "Art" Drummond; by her daughters, Tosha (Jodi) Davis, Nicki (Jeff) Reed, and Mallory (Jeremy) Royer; her grandchildren, Logan Sanders (Winie Wernz), Cassie Sanders (Djogi Bumba), Kaylyn (Alex) Crocker, Max & Molly Reed, Callie & Judah Royer; and her great-granddaughter, Sophia Crocker. She is also survived by her step-children; step-grandchildren; her sister, Bessie (Steve) Snider; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom she loved dearly. Freda had various occupations. She was well-known for the several years she worked as a waitress at the West Union Cafe, formerly known as the Illinois 1 Cafe. She also worked as the head teller at the First Financial Bank, was a manager at Hardee's, and also worked assembly at TRW. She graduated from Lakeland College in 2002 with a certificate in Business Management, this being one of her proudest accomplishments. She enjoyed traveling, reading, cooking and spending quality time with her family. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM on Thursday, August 29th at New Rivers Church (306 Archer Ave. Marshall, IL). Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday following the visitation, with Pastor Joey Harryman officiating. The Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union is in charge of arrangements.
