Frances M. Knoblett, 87, of Palestine, died at 7:50 a.m. on June 26, 2011 at the Cotillion Ridge Nursing Home in Robinson. She was born January 11, 1924 in Stoy, IL, the daughter of Clyde Jack Crouch and Luellen Ida Welsh Crouch. Frances was a school bus driver for the Palestine Grade School and High School, and worked for the Crawford County Senior Citizen€™s Center for several years.She married James LeRoy Knoblett on November 29, 1946 and he preceded her in death on August 22, 1982. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Frank X. Hetzler; two sisters, Mary K. Crouch and Eugena Cunningham; and two daughters-in-law, Janet F. Knoblett and Karen L. Knoblett.Frances is survived by her four sons and her daughters-in-law, Gary (Linda) Knoblett, Westville, IL, William €œBill€ (Ramona) Knoblett, Palestine, Larry (Terri) Knoblett, Hutsonville, Charles (Janice) Rippy, Houston, TX; 14 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Ella Mae Knoblett, Palestine, and Donna Faye Neeley, Vincennes; as well as several nieces and nephews.Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine, with Brother Joe Griffith officiating the service. Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery, rural Palestine. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the Oak Grove Cemetery, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
