Fern E. Jordan, 88, of Robinson , IL , died at 2:55 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2008 at Crawford Memorial Hospital , Robinson. She was born March 3, 1920 in Palestine , IL , the daughter of Ausby Fuller and Elsie Schifler Fuller. She was a cook for the Palestine schools, was in the grocery business for 31 years, was a member of the Palestine First Presbyterian Church for over 50 years and a Sunday School Secretary for 11 years, was a member of the Crawford Memorial Hospital Auxiliary as a 'Pink Lady' with over 3000 volunteer hours, a member of the Richwoods Friendship Club, and served as a Red Cross Blood Drive Volunteer while she was a 'Pink Lady.She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Wallace Watson. She married her second husband, Brooks Jordan on January 14, 1972 and he preceded her in death on March 27, 1990. She was also preceded by her parents; and her sister, Velma Lucille Guyer.She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert Wallace Watson Jr. and Mary Jo Watson, Hutsonville; her daughter and son-in-law, Myrna K. and Tom Phillippe, Flat Rock; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 6th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine . Rev. Paul Phillips and Rev. Bill Wilkinson will be in charge of services. Burial will be in the Palestine Cemetery . Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 5th.Memorials may be made to the Palestine First Presbyterian Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.
