Faye "Babb" Loughery

Faye 'Babb' Loughery, 82 of Homewood, IL, formerly of Crawford County, IL, died at 12:36 a.m., Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the Manor Care Nursing Center in Homewood, IL. She was born December 24, 1925 in Palestine, the daughter of Ralph Babb and Nell Clark Babb. She was an employee of the Crawford County Clerk’s office for several years, active in the Democratic Party, and loved bowling and golf.She married Robert Loughery on June 29, 1951 and he preceded her in death on July 19, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Ruth Babb and Ruby Wilmoth; and her brother, Paul 'Buster' Babb.Faye is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janice and James Morrissy, Oak Forest, IL; 3 grandsons, Kyle, Marc, and Jake Morrissy, Oak Forest.Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 11:00 a.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine with Rich Swisher in charge of services. Burial is in the Palestine Cemetery. Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. Thursday and until service time at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Palestine Preservation Projects Society with envelopes at the funeral home or can be mailed to P.
