FANNIE G. WOOSLEYFannie G. Woosley, 85 of Palestine, IL, died at 1:31 p.m. Sunday, November 26, 2006 in an auto accident south of Gordon Junction that also took the life of her granddaughter and great grandson. She was born April 19, 1921 in Palestine, the daughter of James Perry Rosbolt and Ora Effie Ellis Rosbolt. She was a homemaker; a member of the Palestine Wesleyan Church; and was a member of the Board and taught Sunday School for many years.Fannie married Alfonzo E. “Slim” Woosley on April 13, 1942 and he preceded her in death on April 5, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers; Dean, Ray, Orville, Bill, Glenn Rosbolt; and her sister Jean Wright; and her son-in-law, Forrest “Buck” McCormick.Survivors include her two sons Stephen and Darlene Woosley, Palestine, and Carl Woosley and Debora Weston, Palestine; 6 daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Kenneth Griffin, Palestine; Mary J. and Rick Lewis, Hutsonville, Tricia Miles, Lawrenceville, Geri Hitt, Robinson, Loretta and Ken Schramer, Barrington, IL, and Linda McCormick, Robinson; several grand and great grandchildren; her sister, Mary Drennen, Palestine; her sister-in-law, Virginia Hamm, Vincennes, IN; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 30th at 10:30 a.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine. Rev. Dan Szombathy and Rev. Paul Gray are in charge of services. Burial is in the Palestine Cemetery. Visitation is from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m Wednesday, November 29th. Memorials may be made to the Palestine Pilgrim Holiness Church, the Robinson Wesleyan Church, and to the American Cancer Society with envelopes at the funeral home.
