Faith Elizabeth White, 83, of Robinson, IL, passed away on October 5, 2024, at Crawford Memorial Hospital. Born on February 5, 1941, to Clyde and Hilda Irene (Beard) Rich, Faith saw life as a canvas, and each day was a brushstroke in the vibrant masterpiece she created across 83 years. Her life was a blend of creative beauty, with both vibrant colors and delicate shades. Whether painting barn scenes or decorating cakes at Dairy Queen, Faith infused everything she touched with an artist's spirit. From an early age, she was drawn to art, a passion that would eventually earn her blue ribbons and a "Best in Show" at the County Fair—victories she cherished. But it wasn't just her art that left an impression; each brushstroke was a reflection of her heart—sometimes bold and daring, other times tender and gentle.
At the heart of Faith's masterpiece was her family. She married Glen White on December 11, 1964, and together, they painted a life filled with love until his passing in 2010. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Larry Rich, her son, Brad White, and her daughter, Lisa Casner. Faith leaves behind her children & their spouses, Febby Barrett, Bob & Shelley Stephenson, Chris & Marcia White, and Rob & Teri White; her grandchildren & their spouses, Cam & Tami, Hillary & fiancé James, Cassandra, Sean & Hannah, Jessica & Chris, Mac & Megan, Aaron & Becky, Brandon & Hannah, Curtis & Allison, Dylan & Taylor, Cody & Heather, Bristi & Andrew, Dusty, and Lincoln; her 21 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Robert Stacks. Her love for them was as expansive as her creativity, filling their lives with warmth and care.
She found beauty in the everyday, whether experimenting with a new recipe or collecting treasures at auctions and festivals. Even her infamous sausage balls, while not always a culinary success, became part of her creative legacy—a testament to her willingness to try something new, even when the outcome was uncertain. Through her eyes, the world was full of endless possibility and creativity, a gift she generously shared with those around her.
For Faith, life itself was a work of art. Her home was a testament to that, always filled with color and creativity—especially her "seasonal" tree, which changed with each season but remained a symbol of her love for celebration and beauty. And just as masterpieces are celebrated long after their completion, we will forever celebrate and reflect on the masterpiece that was Faith's life. Though her presence is no longer with us, the vibrant colors she left behind—the love, the laughter, and the family she nurtured—will continue to shine brightly in our hearts for years to come.
