Evelyn Agnes Vaughn

Evelyn Agnes Vaughn, 86, of Robinson, IL, died at 12:05 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2008 at the Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson. She was born February 11, 1921 in Grand Rapids, MI, the daughter of Earnest Post and grace Barney Post. She worked in production at the Robinson Shoe Factory. She was a member of the Robinson American Legion Post #69 Auxiliary and the Prairie Grove Church.She married Frank Vaughn May 25, 1940 and he preceded her in death September 29, 1956. She was also preceded in death by her companion, Albert 'Short' Newman in 1981; her parents; 2 grandsons, Brad Kinney and Aaron Vaughn; and 1 great granddaughter, Keshia Batner; 1 sister; and 6 brothers.She is survived by her children; Ronald Vaughn, Shelbyville, Larry Joe Vaughn and his wife, Brenda, Pana, Paulette Aper, Marshall, Sandy Keller, Flat Rock, Jane Moore, Palestine, Mike Newman, Robinson, and Merle Newman, Robinson; 18 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2008 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with graveside services to follow at the Wilkins Cemetery, rural Oblong with Pastor Dan Szombathy officiating.
