Esther Maxine Roberts

Esther Maxine Roberts, 90, of Robinson, IL died at 4:55 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2010, at the Ridgeview Care Center in Oblong. She was born on April 4, 1920 in Freelandville, IN, the daughter of Alva Rich and Alta Higgins Rich. She had worked in production at L.S. Heath & Sons for 15 years and was a member of the West Side Church of God.She married C. Willard Roberts on October 15, 1945, and he preceded her in death on June 28, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Charles Mills; two brothers, Charles F. Rich and George K. Rich; one sister, Lucille Beard; and one granddaughter. She is survived by her son, Bill Mills of Robinson; her daughter, Carolyn and her husband Jim Zaayer, Danville; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the West Side Church of God, with Pastor Ray Jones officiating. Burial will be in Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 7 at the church.
