Elman D. "Buck" Reynolds

Elman D. “Buck” Reynolds, 73, of Robinson died Monday, August 6, 2007 at 11:50 p.m. at Crawford Memorial Hospital. He was born July 28, 1934 in West York, IL, the son of Delbert E. Reynolds and Catherine Gillispie Reynolds.He retired from Marathon Oil Company in 1986 as an Instrument Technician after 33 years of service. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War on the U.S.S. Robinson DD 562. He was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church, Robinson, a member of the Robinson American Legion Post #69, the Robinson V.F.W. Post #4549 and had been a member of the Robinson Elks Lodge #1188.He married Barbara Minnick October 12, 1952, and she survives. He is also survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Louise Reynolds, Monroe, IN, Jon and Teri Reynolds, West Lafayette, IN; two daughters and his son-in-law, Karen Miller, Crawfordsville, IN, April and Vern Ward, Robinson; 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He is also survived by 12 brothers and sisters, Norma Hackler, Washington, IL, Ramona Noblit, Oblong, Kathy Smithenry, Oblong, Anna Mae Clark, Columbus, OH, Annie Dorn, Oblong, Alicia Hyde, Oblong, Bud Parks, Columbus, OH, Ralph Pimentel, Oblong, Bobby Masters, Oblong, Roger Dee Reynolds, Robinson, Linda Shafner, Robinson, Brenda Fuller, Robinson, and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held Friday, August 10th, at 10:00 a.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson, with Brother Maurice Midgley and Gary Fasig in charge of services. Burial will be in the Kirk Cemetery, rural Robinson. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 9th. Military graveside services will be conducted by the combined units of the Robinson V.F.W. Post #4549, the Robinson American Legion Post #69, the Amvets Post #33, and the Flat Rock American Legion Post #132. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Robinson V.F.W. Post #69 Transportation Fund, with envelopes in the funeral home.
