Ella "Maxine" Richey

Ella €œMaxine€ Richey, 81, of Robinson died at 10:30 a.m. on February 22, 2011 at CMH Long-Term Care in Robinson. She was born on April 21, 1929 in Palestine, the daughter of Clarence €œJack€ Corder and Ella Garrard Corder. She worked in production at L.S. Heath and was a member of the Palestine First Christian Church, Palestine Senior Citizens and the Palestine Preservation Projects Society. Maxine enjoyed baking, especially pies and cookies, and loved dogs.She married Eugene Richey on January 14, 1950 and he preceded her in death on March 19, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Norma Connelly.Maxine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mike & Barbara Richey, rural Robinson; her daughter and son-in-law, Marcia & Roger Elder, Heathsville; three grandchildren and their spouses, April & Dan Hill, Biggsville, IL, Shanna & Sean Ogle, Kathleen, GA, and Aaron & Elena Richey, Dallas, TX; six great-grandchildren, Taylor & Dylan Ogle, Alec, Conner & Ben Hill, and Myles Richey; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Janet and Harry Redman, Palestine, Lois Ann Miller, Robinson; her brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Opal Corder, Robinson; as well as several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine, with Aryn Meritt officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery, rural Palestine. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 24 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to CMH Long Term Care or to the Palestine First Christian Church, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
