Elizabeth June Evans

June Evans, 85, of Valparaiso, IN, formerly of Robinson, IL, died at Porter Hospital in Valparaiso at 12:30 a.m. Monday, May 4, 2009. She was born June 7, 1923 in Crawford County, IL, the daughter of Cecil Sackrider and Marjorie Ikemire Sackrider. She was a homemaker and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.She married George Price Evans on July 18, 1942 and he preceded her in death on September 19, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Peggy Stevens and Carolyn Van Tassel.She is survived by her 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Jane Evans, Robinson and Sid and Becky Evans, Valparaiso, IN; her daughter, Nancy Yarvis, Valparaiso, IN; 3 grandchildren, Michelle Morrison, Matt Evans, Jesse and Kelly Yarvis; 1 great grandchild, Haley Morrison; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 6th at 10:00 a.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson with Jim Munson in officiating. Burial is in the Robinson New Cemetery with visitation 1 hour preceding the service from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
