Edna Mae Hale, 84, of Robinson, IL, died at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2008 at the Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson. She was born November 18, 1923 in rural West Terre Haute, IN, the daughter of Mike Franklin Newell and Almarinda Crossfield Newell. She was a homemaker; a member and Sunday School teacher at Grand Prairie Church, rural Robinson; member of the Grand Prairie Women’s Fellowship; and the 3 H Club. She married Dale Hale November 18, 1965 and he preceded her in death December 7, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers, Don William Newell and Carl Franklin Newell.She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Mary Newell, Robinson; her brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Mary Ellen Newell, Sullivan, IN; 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 step grandsons; and her aunt, Pearl McGovern.Funeral services will be held Monday, June 9th at 10:00 a.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Pastor Dan Szombathy is in charge of services. Burial is in the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Visitation is from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday.
