Dr. Lance E. Sikorski, 67, lost his battle with AML and accepted God's invitation home on December 22, 2020 at 7:05 p.m. at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born on May 19, 1953 in San Antonio, TX. Lance grew up in northern Illinois. Early in life, he trained as an electrical engineer, worked in nuclear power and in communications, but found his passion and calling in chiropractric medicine. He earned his doctorate in December of 1987 before moving his family to Robinson, IL in June of 1988. Here, he took great joy in his practice, patients, and friends over the last 32 years. He was a great supporter of his community and was active in a number of local organizations through his life: the Crawford County Collectibles Car Club, the Scouts (with whom he was a Cub Master and Eagle Counselor), the Robinson Chamber of Commerce, and the Saint Elizabeth Catholic Church. Professionally, he associated with the Illinois Chiropractic Society and the American Chiropractic Association. Lance was a lover of music and dearly loved dancing, especially with his wife of 44 years, Linda. He was also enjoyed model railroading, classic cars and problem-solving in general. Trivia was near and dear to his heart as well. He teased that about 10% of his brain was filled with chiropractic knowledge, with the rest consumed with trivial facts! Lance avidly sought diverse discussions no matter where it led, as he enjoyed sharing and learning from others' history, experiences and perspective. His open-mindedness expanded his world and made him a better, deeper human being. Though his wonderful mind will be missed, his loved ones will miss his soft, tender heart infinitely more. Lance took joy in his family and is survived by his brother, Mark; by his wife, Linda; and by his sons, James & Erin and their families. Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate Lance's life from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 22nd, at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church Parish Hall.
