Dorothy L. McCrory, 91 of rural West York, IL, died at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, March 05, 2009 at her home. She was born September 26, 1917 in rural West Union, IL, the daughter of Harry Thompson and Cecil Cline Thompson. She married Lamar McCrory and he preceded her in death on April 16, 1982. She was a homemaker and worked with her husband on their family farm. She was also an avid gardener. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jane Ann and Charles Morrison, West York; her granddaughter and her husband, Lori and David Johnson, Florissant, MO; 3 grandsons and their spouses, Randy Morrison, West York, Ken and Kristen Morrison, Robinson, Kevin and Tammy Morrison, West York; 7 great grandchildren, Leeanna and Allyssa Johnson, Charles Morrison, Laci Callaham, Haley Morrison, Grayson and Toby Morrison; her great-great grandson, Brenden Johnson; 2 nephews, Donald and Harry “Butch” Myles and his wife Judy, Hutsonville; 4 nieces, Sarah Lou Myles, St. Charles, MO, Dorothy and her husband Bob McColley, Robinson, Linda Dix, Hutsonville, Mary and her husband Wayne Dix, Annapolis, and a special friend, Sara Ruprecht, St. Charles, MO.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister, Doris Munden.Funeral services will be Sunday, March 8th at 2:00 p.m. at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union with Pastor Charles Rains in charge of services. Burial is in the York Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, March 7th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and until service time on Sunday. Memorials may be made to the Dialysis Unit in care of the Crawford Memorial Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
