Dorothy Jean Osborn

Dorothy Jean Osborn, 89, of Robinson, IL died October 29, 2019, at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. Dorothy was born on October 18, 1930, in Bristol, OK, the daughter of Loyd & Hazel (Peterson) Franklin, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Howard Osborn on August 20, 1954, and he preceded her in death on January 5, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, John Franklin, Raymond Franklin, and Floyd Lewis Franklin; by her brothers-in-law, Alan Lamar and Wesley Tucker. She is survived by her brother & sister-in-law, Charles & Jenny Franklin (High Springs, FL); sisters & brother-in-law, Joyce Kraemer (Robinson, IL), JoAnn Lamar (Wood River, IL), Helen Louise Tucker (Robinson, IL), and Carolyn & Frank Hamilton (Tuscaloosa, AL); by her special cousins, Jean Nash and Ruth Burcham; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Hutsonville. She was also a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary #4549, the Hutsonville Community Club, and the Hutsonville Friends of the Library. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, but she also found great enjoyment in singing with the Brookstone singers. A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 -12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2nd at Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will be held at 12:00p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Hutsonville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to "St. Jude's Children's Hospital" or "the First Baptist Church of Hutsonville", with envelopes available at the funeral home.
