Dorcas E. Livingston

Dorcas E. Livingston, 53, of Palestine, IL, died at 11:35 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Ridgeview Care Center, Oblong, IL. She was born August 16, 1956 in Willow Hill, IL, the daughter of Allen Jones and Sarah “Betty” Henry Jones. She was a case coordinator for the Illinois Department of Aging. Dorcas married Jackie L. Livingston on September 18, 1971 and he survives. She is also survived by 3 daughters and her sons-in-law, Julie Jones, Palestine, Amy and Roger Miller, Robinson, Tammy and Jimmie Bennett, Bicknell, IN; her grandchildren, William Livingston, Scotty and Logan Dunlap, Perry Miller, Destiny Dunlap, Faith and Dustin Bennett; her step-granddaughter, Sabrina Carroll; her step great grandson, Marcus Stephens; 3 brothers, Doug Jones, Willow Hill, Danny Jones, O’Fallon, Darrell Jones, Robinson; 3 sisters and her brother-in-law, Doris and Barry Caywood, Flat Rock, Diane Jones, Centralia, Debbie Powell, Henderson, KY; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.Dorcas was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Jackie Lee Livingston, Jr.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am. Saturday, January 2, 2010 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Palestine with Ed Brock officiating. Burial will be in the Mounds Cemetery, rural Jasper County, IL. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 1st at the funeral home.
