Donna Rae Freed

Donna Rae Freed, 79, of Robinson, IL, died at 9:45 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2008 at her residence. She was born May 3, 1928, the daughter of Raymond I. Gardner and Elsie Hill Gardner. She was a retired secretary. She had been a resident of Robinson since 1956. She was an active member of her community, church, and was honored at various times throughout her life for her volunteer work with the Robinson Chamber of Commerce, American Red Cross, Robinson Community Center, Crawford Memorial Hospital and the Robinson Public Library. She was elected to the Robinson City Council for two terms during her life, from November 1967 to May 1975 and from 1985 to 1989.She is survived by her son, Charlie E. Freed, Robinson; her daughter, Kennita Tully, Manhattan, KS; and 4 grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Charles Gardner and Ted Gardner; and her sister, Joanne Perry.Private family graveside services will be held at the Robinson New Cemetery, Robinson with Pauletta Adams officiating.
