Donna Gosnell

May 20, 1939 — April 10, 2023

Donna Gosnell, 83, of Robinson, IL, passed away on April 10, 2023. Born on May 20, 1939, in Indianapolis, IN. She was raised in Duncanville, IL, where she was imbued with the values of her loving parents, Glen & Mary (Love) Stewart. Donna was also fortunate enough to have the love and guidance of family friends, Franklin and Ollie Rich. Donna's kind and selfless nature was evident from a young age and continued throughout her life, touching the hearts of many. Donna's love and devotion for her family knew no bounds, and she went above and beyond to ensure their happiness and well-being.

Donna was a proud graduate of Robinson High School, always cherishing the memories of her school days and the lifelong friendships she made. Upon graduation, she embarked on a fulfilling career as a telephone operator for 18 years, connecting people and making lasting impressions on her coworkers and clients. Donna went on to work many satisfying years at the Hershey Chocolate plant, where she formed treasured connections with her coworkers, before retiring.

As a loving wife, Donna cherished her dear husband, Morris Gosnell. Donna was a devoted mother and a shining example of strength and grace to Glen, Greg, and Kim, instilling the values of love, unity, and kindness into their hearts. As a result, the close-knit family she created became her pride and joy.

Donna enjoyed reading and playing mahjong on her computer. Always, putting her family's needs before her own, she fulfilled her roles as a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, coworker, and friend with the utmost compassion, leaving an imprint of warmth, kindness, and never-ending love on everyone around her.

May you rest in peace, sweet Donna. Your love, kindness, and selflessness will remain an inspiration to all who knew you.

She is survived by her loving husband, Morris Gosnell; her children and their spouses, Glen & Carrol Gosnell, Greg Gosnell, and Kim & Garth Bailey; her beloved grandchildren, Kaycee Gosnell, Megan Gosnell, and Miles Bailey; her sister, Janet Wesley; and her brother, Byron Stewart, and wife Marleen. Donna's memory will also live on through her beloved sister-in-law, Martha Jane Beaver, numerous nieces, nephews, and the countless lives she touched during her time with us. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her parents, Glen & Mary Stewart, and her sister, Joan Taylor.

It was Donna's wish to be cremated without public services. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of these arrangements.
