Dick Gray, 84 of Robinson, IL, died at 1:40 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2010 at the Cotillion Ridge Nursing Center, Robinson. He was born January 26, 1926 in Alma, IL, the son of Leland L. Gray and Jessie Marie Brimberry Gray. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII in the South Pacific and he worked in oil field sales for his entire career. He was a member of the Robinson V. F. W. Post #4549 and the First United Methodist Church, Robinson.Dick married Frances Bailey on June 28, 1945 and she preceded him in death on March 8, 2009. He has missed her companionship for the last 13 months. Dick was a great guy and he will be missed. He was also preceded in death by his parents; and 3 brothers, Bill, Bob and Ben Gray.He is survived by his 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria and David Saad, Robinson, Mary Jane and Mike Parker, rural Robinson; 3 grandsons, Curtis Thom, San Francisco, CA, Matthew Parker, Terre Haute, IN and Wesley Parker, Robinson and their families; 6 great grandchildren; his brother, Carl Gray, Naples, TX; and his sister and brother-in-law, Patty and Don Brown, Farina, IL.Funeral services will be held Monday, April 5th at 11:00 a.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson with Lillian Phillips in charge of services. Burial is at the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. preceding the services. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Foundation with envelopes available at the funeral home.
