Denise Hoalt, 46, of Robinson, IL, died unexpectedly on October 6, 2019, at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. She was born on August 29, 1973, in Terre Haute, IN, the daughter of Steve & Barb (Osborn) Lachenmayr. She grew up in the Robinson area and was a 1991 graduate of Robinson High School. She furthered her education at Indiana State University, where she earned an associate degree in nursing in 1993. She would go on to work as an RN for numerous hospitals and doctors over the years, from Good Samaritan Hospital and Dr. Herman in Vincennes, IN, to the Correctional Center and CMH Home Health in Robinson. The last several years found her working as the office manager at B & D Resources. Away from work, Denise could often be found out-fishing her family or watching her son, Sawyer play ball. Recently, she took on the role of "Snazzy" to her beloved Wyatt, and he was a great source of joy in her life. Anyone who knew her could attest to the fact that she had the most infectious laugh you would ever have the opportunity to hear. Needless to say, you could often hear her coming before you saw her! Denise will forever be remembered as a stern, but feisty and fun-loving soul who gave only the best she had. Her family has lost not only a matriarch, but a wonderful example of how to live as well. A member of Highland Church of Christ, she put her life in Christ's hands years ago. Today, we have the assurance that she is experiencing the fullness of eternal life alongside her Savior, and her mother, Barb, who preceded her in death on October 1, 2018. On November 29, 1997, she married Brant Hoalt, who survives. She is also survived by her son, Sawyer Hoalt; by her daughters & sons-in-law, Emilee & Garrett Rich and Sara & Steven Langley; by her grandson, Wyatt Rich; by her father, Steve Lachenmayr; by her brother, Dewayne Lachenmayr; by her parents-in-law, Ron & Linda Hoalt; by her brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Tony & Vicki Hoalt and Daron & Kathy Hoalt; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 10th at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Watson officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie Cemetery, rural Oblong. Memorial contributions may be made to "Arbor Rose of Robinson", with envelopes available at the funeral home.
