Delorise Eloise Swaner, 88, of Robinson, IL, died on January 18, 2021 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. Delorise was born on February 19, 1932 in Petty Township; the daughter of Everett & Perna May (McCally) Fornshell, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Christine Hartz and Pauline Baker and by her infant sister, Beulah Allene Fornshell. She is survived by her children, Michael & Leslie Swaner (Robinson, IL), Pamela Catt (Terre Haute, IN) and Mark & Suzanne Swaner (Terre Haute, IN); by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; by her sisiter & brother-in-law, Colleen & John Hill (Forsyth, MT); as well as several nieces and nephews. Delorise grew up in Applegate, IL and graduated from Bridgeport High School. She worked several jobs throughout her life and especially enjoyed working as a cook at Ridgeview Nursing Home. Away from work she enjoyed gardening, cooking and crafting. She also had a love for animals, especially her cats. Delorise's family was the core of her life and she found great enjoyment spending time with her children and grandchildren. Due to the public safety measures being enforced by the State of Illinois, funeral services will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the "Crawford County Animal Control".
