Deloris Virginia Wooten

Deloris Virginia Wooten, 95, of rural Robinson, IL, died at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, IL. She was born August 24, 1915 in Oblong, IL, the daughter of Hershel Neeley and Ida Dressback Neeley. She was a homemaker, a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and the Grace Methodist Quilting Club.Deloris married Erby Wooten on September 5, 1933 and he preceded her in death on April 10, 1977. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons, Edmond Dean Wooten in infancy and Robert Wooten on March 28, 1984; and 2 brothers, Bernard and David Neeley.Deloris is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Don Davis, rural Lawrenceville, Sharon and Lee Lindsey, White Mills, KY; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Wooten, Flat Rock; her brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Vera Neeley, Sanford, TX; and two sisters and her brother-in-law, May and Ray Brazel, Wheeler, TX, and Evelyn Fisher, Jonesboro, AK. €œWe deeply mourn her loss and at the same time rejoice that she is now at peace with our Heavenly Father. In life she provided a legacy of love to her family and friends that will transcend generations to come.€Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 8th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine. Burial will be at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery, rural Palestine. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 7th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Grace United Methodist Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.
