David Lee Krick

David L. Krick, 73 of Oblong, IL, died at 9:03 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, IL. He was born March 19, 1936 in Oblong, the son of Murl Krick and Eslie Faught Krick. David was a self-employed building contractor for 40 years, owning and operating the Krick Construction Co. in Oblong. He married Judy Olson on March 5, 1955 and she preceded him in death on February 14, 2003. He was also preceded by his mother, his son, Todd Krick, and his sister, Janice Knell.He is survived by his 2 sons and daughters-in-law, David, Jr. and Melody Krick, Oblong, Terry and Jodi Krick, Willow Hill; his daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Mike Hoke, Oblong; 8 grandchildren, Travis, Justin, Megan, Taylor, Kylie, Kody, Randy, and Colt Krick; his great-grand-daughter, Peyton Marie Krick; his father and step-mother, Murl and Marie Krick, Oblong; and his sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Steve Trout, Cape Coral, FL.There will be cremation with no services. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Oblong Academic Foundation and may be mailed to the funeral home or sent to the Oblong High School office.
