Charles T. Tuttle, Jr., 83, of Hutsonville died at 9:08 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at his home. He was born July 12, 1927 in Licking Township, the son of Charles T. Tuttle and Vianna Gladys Tuttle. He worked for the Crawford County Highway Department for over forty years until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of the Robinson American Legion Post #69, the Crawford County Saddle Club, and the Grand Prairie Church.Charles married Betty L. Shonk Tuttle on September 5, 1948, and she joined him in death. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Thelma Raley; his two brothers, Stanley Tuttle and William Tuttle.He is survived by his son, Charles T. €œTom€ & Anita Tuttle, Bridgeport; one grandson, Matthew Tuttle, Downers Grove, IL; one granddaughter, Sharon E. Tuttle, Charleston, IL; three sisters, Regina Guess, IA, Aleatha Correll, Elizabethtown, KY, Vianna & Carl Vietenhans, state of WA.A joint funeral service with his wife will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson, with John Fyffe officiating. Burial will be at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Military graveside services will conducted by the combined units of the Palestine AmVets Post #33, Robinson V. F. W. Post #4549, Robinson American Legion Post #69, and Flat Rock American Legion Post #132. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29, 2011 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Grand Prairie Church.
