Carolyn Weger, 84, of Robinson, IL, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2024.


She was born on November 14, 1940, in Clinton, IN, to Gus and Maureen Grieve, who preceded her in death. Carolyn grew up in Mecca, IN, before moving to Annapolis, IL, in the eighth grade. She graduated from Hutsonville High School.


Carolyn married Robert "Bob" Weger on July 1, 1978, and they shared many happy years together until his passing on November 19, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jay Flood.


Carolyn worked at Victor Dana for several years and later at Walmart before retiring. She enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband, spending time with her family, and shared a love of frogs with her granddaughter Ericka, often adding to her collection of frog-themed items. She also loved gambling trips with her sister Evelyn.


She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Marisa & Rick Bonnell; step-children, Frank & Carmen Walton, Jeff & Susan Weger, by her grandchildren, Brooke & Rob Smith and Ericka Bonnell & Casey Combs; by her great-grandchildren, Sophie and Ella; by her siblings, Evelyn & Dick Haus, Shirley & Eric Gough, and Robert & Sharon Grieve; as well as several nieces and nephews.


A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, November 18th, at the Robinson New Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to "Crawford County Humane Society", with envelopes available at the cemetery.
