Carolyn Lee Gullett

Carolyn Lee Gullett, 86, of Robinson, IL, died Tuesday, January 14th at Magnolia Center in Robinson, IL. She was born December 16, 1933, in New Hebron, IL, the daughter of Theodore & Oneita (Myers) Berry, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Robert D. Gullett on November 17, 1951, and he preceded her in death on August 21, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her sister Rita Riker. She is survived by her two daughters & sons-in-law, Kathy & Jim Caldwell (Snyder, TX) and Cheryl & Bruce Knight (Robinson, IL); by her son & daughter-in-law, Les & Karen Gullett (Canadian, TX); by six grandchildren & their spouses, Jim & Kim Caldwell, Ben & Kristi Caldwell, Jona & Michael Keys, Denny & Bailey Knight, Weston & Anita Gullett, and Jessica & Will Rubino; by 6 great-grandchildren, Laura, Rebecca, Zoey, Luke, Rylie, and Wyatt;by her siblings, Patty Conrad, Sandra Chapman, and Ted & Shirley Berry; by her sister-in-law, Rhonda Gullett, by her brother-in-law, Byron Gullett; several loving nieces and nephews; as well as her beloved dog, Friday. Carolyn grew up on her family's farm, where she learned to love the outdoors. Few things brought her as much peace and joy as spending time in the sunshine, especially while tending to her garden. Her green thumb was the stuff of legend, and she could grow just about anything. Though she was known to tend to her flowers, her family remember the care and love Carolyn gave to each of them. She was her family's warrior, their strength, and their everything. Her caregiving didn't end with her family, as she also volunteered her time to be a lunch buddy at school and also helped in the school library. Anyone who was blessed enough to know her will forever be touched by the heart of this kind soul, and her love will continue to live on as her legacy. A time of visitation will be held at 11:00 - 12:30 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2020 at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will immediately follow and will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Celebrant Curt Goodwine officiating. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Memorials may be made to either "St. Jude Children's Research Hospital" or to the "Crawford County Humane Society".
