Carolyn L. Shipley Dennis

Carolyn L. Shipley Dennis, 68, of Robinson, IL, died at 11:25 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2007 at her residence. She was born February 14, 1939 in Hutsonville, IL, the daughter of Henry Stephens and Emma Leeman Stephens. She worked in the credit office of the Roots Store. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Hutsonville Christian Church.She is survived by her 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Tina Michelle and Monty Ellis, Pimento, IN, Jo Dion Eck, Riley, IN, Sherri Denise and Philip Layman, Robinson; her son, Victor Levi Shipley, Jr., Riley, IN; and her grandchildren, Joshua and Zachary Eck, Ryan Armstrong, Aubrie and Alex Layman. She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother, Max Stephens; and 1 sister, Marilyn Seaney.Her family honored her wishes for private services and burial Saturday, March 17, 2007 at the Hutsonville Cemetery, with Tim Seaney officiating. The Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson was in charge of arrangements.
