Carol Clark

Carol Clark, 71, of Robinson, IL, died at 7:37 a.m. on Monday, October 8, 2018 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family. She was born March 17, 1947 in Robinson, the daughter of Delno E. Reynolds and Ruth T. (Wilson) Reynolds. She married Philip Clark and he preceded her in death on July 6, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her father, Delno E. Reynolds; by her brother, Delno R. Reynolds; by her sons, Todd Peterson and Rex Wayne Peterson; and by her grandson, John Connely. She is survived by her best friend and significant other, Todd Pritts; by her mother, Ruth T. Reynolds; by her two sons, Ronnie Peterson and Shawn Peterson; by her daughter, Angela Peterson; by her step-sons, David Clark and Mike Clark; by her step-daughter, Tally Clark; by 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; by her sister & brother-in-law, Connie & Wayne Austin; by her sister-in-law, Ruth E. Reynolds; as well as several nieces and nephews. Carol grew up in the Robinson area. She worked for Ettelbrick Shoe Factory for many years before getting on at CUSD #2 as a school bus driver. For several years, she and Phil traveled all over the continental U.S. and these were some of the best times of her life. An unapologetic people-watcher, few things brought her more joy than going to various community events with Todd. Friends and family will remember her one-of-a-kind laugh and kind temperament. She was a selfless soul who always looked for the best of others. She was a longtime member of Bible Chapel Church, where she was baptized. There is peace in knowing that she’s found peace in the arms of her Savior. A time of visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 11th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Catt officiating the service. Memorials may be made to “Bible Chapel Church”, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
