Brent Alan Morgan

Brent Alan Morgan, 48, of Casey, IL, died on February 21, 2022, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL, after several years of fighting courageously with his debilitating illness. An illness in which he handled with grace and dignity. Brent was born on December 13, 1973, in Paris, IL, the son of Bernard & Karlette (Sanders) Morgan. He grew up in Casey, IL, and was a 1993 graduate from Casey High School. He took pride in his community and found joy in assisting his father with the Casey Popcorn Festival. He was also known to be a devout Casey-Westfield Warrior fan. When he wasn't cheering on his community, he could be found watching sports. Brent was an avid football and NASCAR fan. He especially admired Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr. When his health began to decline, he could be found in his room listening to the local football games. He also loved to fish with his family and friends. Brent's family was a big part of his life. He found great enjoyment in family reunions and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He is survived by his parents, Bernard & Karlette Morgan (Casey, IL); by his sisters, Amy & Greg Rich (Flat Rock, IL) and Haley & Eric Honselman (Casey, IL); by his nieces and nephews: Nathan Rich, Abby Rich, Kelli Honselman and Clay Honselman; by his special friend, B.J. Mason; as well as several extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert & Pauline Sanders. A time of visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 25th, at Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Celebration of life will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to "Shriners Hospitals for Children" or "St. Jude Children's Research Hospital", with envelopes available at the funeral home.
