Bobby Wesley Armstrong

Bobby Wesley Armstrong, 79 of Mt. Airy, Maryland, formerly of Palestine, IL, died at the Dove House, Carroll County Hospital in Westminster, Maryland, at 4:00 a.m. Monday, June 22, 2009. He was born September 21, 1929 in Newton County, IN, the son of Henry Armstrong and Catherine Inmon Armstrong. He was a brakeman on the railroad and retired from the U. S. Air Force after 23 years of service.He is survived by his 2 sons and daughter-in-law, Mike and Bonnie Armstrong, Mt. Airy and Otis Armstrong, Tulsa, OK; 2 brothers, George Armstrong, Palestine and Willie Armstrong, Indianapolis; his sister, Hazel Watts, Ottawa, IL, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Raymond Armstrong. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 26th at the Palestine Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine. Military graveside services will be conducted by the combined units of the Robinson V. F. W. Post 4549, the Robinson American Legion Post #69, the Flat Rock American Legion Post #132, and the Amvets Post #33.
