Bobby Lee Kintner

May 23, 1982 — December 1, 2020

Bobby Lee Kintner, 38, of Robinson, IL, died December 1, 2020, at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, IL. He was born May 23, 1982, in Robinson, IL the son of Mark Kintner & Sarah (Holmes) Birkofer. He grew up in the Robinson area and attended Robinson High School, where he made many lifelong friends before graduating in 2002. This should come as no surprise, seeing as how he was a people-person at his very core! It could be said that he didn't know a stranger, which allowed him to develop a wide web of meaningful relationships throughout his life. Those fortunate enough to know him could attest to his love of St. Louis Cardinals baseball. He was, by all accounts, a rabid fan, and had the opportunity to watch many a game at Busch Stadium. He was known for his love for his fiancée, Staci; their dog, Baby; and their cats, Sissy, Amelia, Wyatt and Sugar. His fondness of animals bore evidence to the man's sweet, caring nature, as did the countless phone calls he made to loved ones, letting them know how much they meant to him. They will remember Bobby Kintner as a happy, resilient man who refused to let poor health rob him of experiencing the goodness of life. His 38 years are an inspiration to all those he has left behind: his fiancée, Staci Butler; his step-children, Gavin Butler and Meagan Butler; his parents, Sarah & John Birkofer; his sisters & their spouses, Jenna & Cody Yager and Maralee & Kacey Birkofer; his grandparents, Sharon Cowden, Bob & Karla Birkofer, and Marilyn Kintner; his aunts & uncles, Cindy Williamson, Barb Legg, Terri Birkofer, Jeff Monroney, and Bill & Celestine Birkofer; his cousins, Cory Williamson, Colton Williamson, Bo Slater, Alana Slater, Chris Slater, Katie Slater, Candace & Mike Kincaid, Jackson Birkofer, and Jacob Birkofer; as well as countless friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Art & Marsha Holmes. We find peace knowing that Bobby accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior, comfort knowing that the chains that bound him in this life are no more, and assurance that one day, by the grace of God, we will meet again. It is with regret that, due to the newly-increased public safety measures being enforced by the State of Illinois, services at the funeral home will be private. However, the public will be given the opportunity to say their goodbyes from 3:30-4:00 on Friday, December 4th at the Oblong Cemetery, where there will be a drive-by visitation as well as an opportunity to write a message to Bobby on his vault carapace. Memorials may be made to his memorial fund, with checks made payable to "Staci Butler". Envelopes will be available at the cemetery. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
