Betty Lou Tarleton

Betty Lou Tarleton, 83 of Robinson, IL, died at 8:50 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2011 at the home of her daughter in Columbus, IN. She was born February 6, 1928 in Fairbanks, IN, the daughter of Claudie Drake and Essie Bicknell Drake. She was a homemaker and had worked as a clerk at Phillippe Grocery in Robinson. She was a member of the Eastern Star.She married Walter R. Tarleton on February 7, 1944 and he preceded her in death on September 2, 2003. She was also preceded by her parents and her sister, Shirley Fuson.She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda & Lenny Jetmund, Lowell, IN, Rita & Robert Gray, Olney, Virginia & George Rodda, Columbus, IN; five grandchildren, Larry Hughbanks, Mike Hughbanks, Tracy Pearson, Lori Clark, Derek Wilder; two step-grandchildren, Avery Gardner & Grant Gardner; four great-grandchildren, Kyle Pearson, Lindsay Pearson, Reed Clark, & Madison Hughbanks; her brother, Bob & Lynda Drake, Sullivan, IN; and her sister-in-law, Marjorie Halberstadt, Fairbanks, IN. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 6th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Burial will be in the Pogue Cemetery, rural Fairbanks, IN. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.
